Abstract
Good Soup, issue 1 (1966), published by the New York Federation of Anarchists, brings together essays, poetry, photographs, and artwork advocating a revolution in everyday life through anarchism, ecological awareness, expanded consciousness, and cooperative community. Its contributors argue that automation could free humanity from compulsory labor and material scarcity, but that realizing this potential requires dismantling coercive institutions while creating forms of life grounded in mutual aid, individual freedom, and direct democracy.
