Free Poetry Bust

[Spring 1968, City Hall Steps]

This clip is from one of the daily Digger/Free City Collective Free Poetry readings on the steps of City Hall in the Spring of 1968. The camera pans over the crowd, focusing on Ron Thelin (or is it Coyote?) masked in a Wild West bandanna. Ama, wearing a US Flag shirt, reads poetry while Peter Berg is squatting in front of him on the  balustrade outside the ornate doors on the Polk street side of the building. The last shot shows the Chronicle photo of Ama being arrested for the Flag shirt.
